Walking Distance to Town
One of the best things about King's Landing is where it sits: directly in downtown Greenville, an easy walk from nearly everything. Leave the car parked and stroll to morning coffee, grab pizza, sandwiches, or burgers for lunch, then wander back for sunset on the deck.
Within a short walk you'll find local coffee shops, casual restaurants, the Stress Free Moose Pub, an ice cream stop for the kids, the public boat launch and public beach on Moosehead Lake, tennis courts, and the shops and outfitters that make Greenville such a fun little town to explore on foot.
Just along the waterfront is the Moosehead Marine Museum, home dock of the Katahdin — a lovingly preserved steamboat that has navigated Moosehead Lake since 1914. Hop aboard for a narrated scenic cruise, or time your visit for a seasonal foliage, sunset-dinner, or music-on-the-water sailing (peak-season cruises can sell out, so book ahead).
